Paget March on but Heath Hot on Heels!

By Joe Perkins

Paget maintain unbeaten record; Heath stay in touch; Lyn Green net dozen.

Tuesday evening saw Paget maintain their three point advantage over Short Heath at the top of La Liga following back-to-back wins at the Aston Villa dome at Brookvale.

Paget opened up against Lyndon Green and produced a strong performance resulting in a solid 2-0 win. The P's then backed up that result with a 4-2 victory over St Barnabas.

Short Heath though remain very much in touching distance of Paget after they were firstly awarded a 4-0 walkover win vs Hillstone (who were unable to attend) and then secondly, defeating a dogged and determined Colebourne side, 3-0.

Lyndon Green atoned for their 2-0 loss against Paget with a resounding 12-0 win over a weakened St Bernadette's.
Rosary were also recipients of a 4-0 forfeit vs Hillstone and added another three points with a hard-earned 4-2 win over St Barnabas - Rosary had their central striker to thank as he netted a hat-trick.

In the one remaining game, Colebourne recorded their first win of the season courtesy of a 2-1 triumph over St Bernadette's.

Paget then stay top and now have 34 points from 12 games and are three ahead of Short Heath and the destiny of the La Liga title may become more apparent after next week's showdown between the top two at Castle Vale Stadium.
