STM sweep SSPP aside to reclaim premier spot.
St Thomas More's jumped above Timberley and Abbey on Thursday afternoon after a fine 5-0 win over SS Peter and Paul. And allied with that win was a 4-0 walkover against Elms Farm who failed to turn up. SSPP were also recipients of a free three points for the same reason.
Despite SSPP playing some smooth, elegant football, STM's power and ruthlessness proved too much for the Erdington-based side. Tommy More's clinical finishing saw them ease to a 5-0 win.
STM sit atop the Premier Division, three points clear of both Abbey and Timberley who have both played two games less.
And next Thursday STM travel to Shard End for a huge clash with Timberley as well as a potentially tricky fixture vs Heathlands.
