Hale Hale! Blaken go Top!

Honours even on night of draws at Blakenhale but hosts top league. Oval go 'nap' against Highfield.

Blakenhale go into the winter break top of the Premier pile but could only take two points in doing so on a gloomy Thursday evening in Garretts Green.
The hosts opened proceedings with a 1-1 draw against an improving Corpus Christi side and ended the evening in total darkness - old school football - sharing another draw, this time a 2-2 version with a battling Paget. The evening's other fixture saw a further sharing of the spoils, and four goals, as Paget and Corpus played out an entertaining, 2-apiece tie.
Over in Kitts Green, The Oval welcomed Highfield, but that's where the hospitality ended as Oval sidled past the Alum Rockers, 5-0. All the goals came from one, 'on-fire' striker and in a game mostly dominated by Oval, both sides were guilty of missing a glut of chances.
As the league now goes into hibernation, Oval's 'nap hand' victory has elevated them above Rosary into fifth place. As previously alluded to, Blakenhale top the table having disposed Harper Bell. Though two points clear, Hale have played two games more than both Bell, in second spot, and third-placed Brownmead. The top three all remain unbeaten.
