Once again the sun gleamed its rays upon the ESPSFA as the season winds to its conclusion and it was Court Farm who shone brightest in Kitts Green.
Pride and a fourth-placed finish were the goals for both Court Farm and SSPP as the Erdington-based sides ventured across to Ridpool Road on Thursday afternoon to conclude their 2024-25 campaigns.
Court Farm began in earnest as they grafted their way to a 3-2 win over hosts, Lea Forest before they then ground out a battling 1-1 draw with SS Peter and Paul - a result that cemented fourth spot. SSPP and Lea Forest the played out a rare 0-0 draw but it wasn't for the lack of trying in an entertaining, end-to-end game.
Meanwhile, in Shard End, Heathlands were hosting Featherstone with both sides at the foot of the table and it was the home side who took the spoils following a narrow 1-0 victory. Both sides were also awarded 4-0 walkovers as Elms Farm didn't attend.
So, Court Farm finish in fourth place whilst SSPP will finish fifth unless either Corpus Christi or Lea Forest win both of their finals games next Thursday.
