Having suffered back-to-back defeats last Thursday, Aksar's Audley produced the perfect reply at Stud Lane this Thursday by taking maximum points from games against Thornton and Colebourne. Audley defeated The Thorns 7-1 in a game the Glebesiders dominated and they then won a tighter contest, 2-0 against Colebourne. The six points scooped up by the Amber 'n' Blacks takes them up to second in the table, a point behind pace-setters, Oval, who have a game in hand, however. In the evening's other game, Colebourne won a six-goal thriller 4-2 against a battling Thornton side. The Thorns had their 'keeper to thank for the game being as close as it was. As a result of that win, Colebourne jump a place over Parkfield into eighth, a point ahead of the Alum Rock side. Field though have 5 games in hand on the Coles. For their part, Thornton remain in tenth place in this, their fledgling ESPSFA season.
