Having missed December's opening games in Girls League Group B, Yardley, Parkfield and Brownmead made their respective bows on Wednesday evening and were joined by Heathlands, giving each school three games to play on a dank, chilly evening under the lights at Yardley 5s.
And it was Yardley Youths who sent a fiery message to the rest of the league as they netted twenty-goals without reply in their three games.
The Youths went out all guns blazing to defeat Heathlands 11-0 and then backed that up by smashing in nine against Brownmead. In their third and final outing of the night, the Youths had a more sober win: 2-0 over Parkfield.
Parkfield did have reason to cheer though as they earned themselves three points with a 2-0 victory over Heathlands and Brownmead also secured themselves three points as they narrowly edged past Parkfield, 1-0.
In the evening's other game, Heathlands gained themselves a point as they battled away to a 2-2 draw with Brownmead.
A great night's football was enjoyed by all of the girls who played with great spirit and smiles on their faces regardless of results - well done girls!
And with everything still to play for, Girls League Group B will be concluded on 1st March.
