Timberley girls began their league campaign storming to four wins, scoring 13 goals in the process without conceding a goal. The Timbers jump over Rosary, who won their first three games back in September. Aside from Timberley's domination, the remaining four schools all won at least one game each. Highfield won two of their games and in a 2-0 defeat to Thornton, amassed 17 strikes on goal, hitting the woodwork three times and found The Thorns' 'keeper in inspired form. Lea Forest had to wait until their final game of the evening for their first win - a 2-1 victory over Thornton. St Bernadette's also registered just the one win, with the Thorns the victims again. It was another exciting night of football with the girls playing with gusto and spirit; they were a credit to their schools.
