Brownmead hit 5. Highfield take 4 points as Paget start with draws.
Brownmead played their first game of the season on Thursday and hit 5 goals without reply against league newcomers, Thornton at Pencroft Road. Brownmead impressed with their fast-flowing attacking football and will be the team to beat in the Premier this season. Meanwhile over the road at Timberley, Highfield were taking 4 points from their 2 games. The Alum Rockers though had to come from 3 goals down at half-time to claw back a point against league debutants, Paget. 'Field then beat Colebourne 2-0 to collect their first win of the campaign. Paget's other game saw them held to a 1-1 draw by Colebourne. The Coles have now drawn 3 of their opening games. Highfield are up to 5th in the league with Colebourne a place back. Brownmead are in 7th but their ominous display against the Thorns, is food for thought for those sides above them.
