Rosary Power On!

Rosary in 7-goal 6 point booty. But Lyn Green stay in touch with 4-0 win.

League leaders Rosary made the short trip to Kitts Green on Thursday to take on hosts, The Oval, and fellow visitors Yardley. In the evening's first game, the Light Blues defeated The Oval, 4-0 then, in their second match, recorded a 3-1 win over a battling Yardley Youths side. The final game at The Oval saw the home side notch up their second win of the season as, in a highly entertaining encounter, they toppled The Youths by 4 goals to 2.
Meanwhile over at Wensley Road, Lyndon Green were dispatching Mapledene 4-0, doing so in style. The Greens remain unbeaten in second place and though they are 6 points adrift of The Rosary, they have two games in hand. The Wensley Roaders will look to close the gap next Thursday when they visit Yardley to contest those 'in-hand' games where The Youths, and Alum Rock outfit, Highfield, stand in their way.
