The only fixtures to survive the heavy rain on Thursday were at Brownmead and the hosts were not going to waste an opportunity to cement their title credentials.
Mead stormed past Brookfields 6-0, before a 3-1 victory over bottom side Colebourne. Brookfields did however pick up three points for themselves as they inched past The Coles, 1-0, and in the process, recorded their second win of the campaign. In tricky, testing conditions, the competing schools put in resolute performances and are to be commended for their effort and commitment.
As a result of their six point stash, Brownmead leap up to second in the table, level on points with Harper Bell - both having won their first four fixtures with goal difference separating them. The top of the table has a familiar look to it now as last season, Mead and Bell went head-to-head all the way with the Shard End boys eventually lifting the divisional title.
