Green Shoot to Liga Summit!

LG double up at CVS as Heath lose unbeaten record; Barnie's start in style.

Lyndon Green shot to the top of the La Liga table on Tuesday after two more wins stretched their unbeaten run to four games at Castle Vale Stadium. First Gren downed a valiant Colebourne side, 4-0, before winning their top-of-the-table clash with a hitherto unbeaten Short Heath, 2-1. Heath had to field an under-strength side due to unforeseen disciplinary matters but that wasn't a concern for a Lyndon Green side who now lead the division by three points from both Heath and Abbey. Prior to that loss, Heath grabbed their third win of the season second as they defeated Colebourne, 2-0. The Coles 'keeper pulled off a series of remarkable saves to keep the score-line respectable.
Meanwhile, over in Erdington, St Barnabas were belatedly opening their campaign at their Spring Lane home and they collected maximum points after wins over Featherstone, 12-0 and Hillstone, 3-1. Hillstone themselves secured their first three points of the season with a 3-0 victory over Featherstone.
