SEND Festival a Winner All Round!

By Joe Perkins

Second SEND festival enjoyed by nearly fifty children.

ESPSFA’s second annual SEND football festival took place under leaden skies and heavy showers at Yardley 5’s on Thursday afternoon and it was a real treat for each and every child that took part in this fun and hugely enjoyable event.

Five schools took to the pitches at Sedgemere Road with each school getting a chance to play each other and there were goals galore, some great goalkeeping some not so great goalkeeping but games were played in an ambient atmosphere with all of the near fifty players, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

There was no trophy on offer but Short Heath were the dominant team winning all of their games but at the end of the festival all of the children who played and represented their schools with such enthusiasm and zest, were rewarded with a medal for their efforts.

Well done to all of those who took part and we look forward to our next SEND festival next season.
