Bernies suffer Maples loss. Foresters down Brownmead who then hit 7. Yardley win - at last!
In-form Mapledene made it an impressive 6 wins out of 6 with a hard-fought 2-1 win over St Bernadette's on Thursday afternoon. The Maples concluded their season as the league's form team and wounded Bernies chances of a top 3 finish.
Meanwhile Brownmead had a mixed afternoon. The Shard Enders smashed Hobmoor 7-1 but suffered a 4-2 reverse to Lea Forest. In the process, The Foresters regained momentum in their chase for a top four closure. Brownmead jump above Highfield into 9th.
And Yardley finally managed to win a match (by actually playing - they have had two walkovers)! They beat Colebourne by 4 goals to 2 on Thursday night. Many congratulations to Mr Walmsley and his team.
