Timberley March to Summit!

By Joe Perkins

Timbermen double-up at Brownmead; High Five! Lyn Green Nap-hand over Oldknow.

On a very blustery afternoon at Brownmead, Timberley took a maximum 6 points to rocket them to the top of the league. They needed a second-half penalty to break down a determined Roasry rearguard, 1-0. They then defeated home side Brownmead by three goals to nil. Timberley have now won 8 out of 8 games and will be a tough nut to crack.
In the afternoon's other game at Pencroft Road, Brownmead and Rosary took a point each in an entertaining 1-1 draw. And by virtue of that point, Rosary nick ahead of Lea Forest and sit fourth in the table whilst Brownmead remain in tenth place.
Meanwhile over at Wensley Road, Lyndon Green maintained their own 100% wining run with an emaphatic 5-0 win over visitors, Oldknow. LG are now up to 6th place but have higher ambitions in sight. For their part, Oldknow remain in 11th place.
