Thursday's Premier division action was in direct contrast to the Girls and La Liga's the previous two nights. There were goals aplenty then but Thursday's games were far more reticent.
Lyndon Green's administrative error led them forfeiting their games with Rosary and Thornton before the latte two fought out a competitive game, 1-1. Rosary took the lead a couple of minutes from half-time but were pegged back in the second half when Thornton capitalised on some hesitant Rosary defending, to level. Thornton's battling display was worthy of their point.
Over at The Oval meanwhile, things were also very binary. The hosts beat Parkfield 1-0, who then beat Colebourne 1-0 before The Oval and The Coles drew 1 each.
Rosary sit atop the table but it is still very early days with Audley, Brownmead, Highfield plus newcomers Paget and Harper Bell, yet to kick a ball in anger.
