A superb display of goalkeeping kept Lyndon Green at bay and earned a point for Brownmead on Thursday. The Wensley Roaders threw everything they had at the home-side's goal and despite being under seige throughout the game, the Shard End side held on valiantly, taking two valuable points off the champions in the process. The point however does take LG to within five points of leaders Timberley, with two games in hand. In the afternoon's other game, Brownmead - the leagues draw specialists - shared the spoils again after a 1-1 draw with an improving Blakesley Hall.
