The 2024-25 ESPSFA League season culminates on Wednesday 21st May at Castle Vale Stadium with four schools vying for the cherished title.
Premier champions, Abbey, enter the finals with a 100% win record and whilst they averaged over three goals per game in the regular season they also only conceded a meagre three. And Abbey will have to overcome the reigning champions, Short Heath, if they want to reach the final. Heath were forced into a play-off eliminator with Timberley to qualify after Paget pipped them to the La Liga crown on goal difference. A narrow, one-nil win in Shard End was enough to see the champs through.
The other semi-final sees La Liga kings, Paget, take on St Thomas More. In 16 regular season games, Paget lost only one and plundered 67 goals in a terrific campaign but they will be wary of a Tommy More's side who are as good as anyone on their day. STM overcame Lyndon Green on penalties in their play-off eliminator, after a pulsating game ended 3-3 after extra time. The red and blacks now set their sights on Paget as they look to go one better than last season when Short Heath beat them in the final.
