On another ecelectic evening of league action, Timberley rocketed in 11 goals without reply against Yardley but then had to settle for a point in a goalless draw with a battling Oval side. The four points gained by The Timbers takes them 8 points clear of both Lea Forest and Rosary. Second-placed Lea Forest threw away a 3 goal lead in a dramatic game with Colebourne. The Coles went on the rampage and took all 3 points winning 4-3.
