Bernie's Blitz! St Bernadette's Hit Six.

It not only rained cats and dogs it also rained goals at Lea Forest on Wednesday evening. 18 goals were shared as St Bernadette's took 4 points from 6, Lea Forest 3 and despite The Oval managing just a single point, it was enough to keep them top. The opening game saw The Foresters soar into a 4 goal half-time lead only for The Oval to hit back with 3 second half strikes. A frenetic finish ensued but Forest held on 4-3. The second game saw The Oval resist a St Bernadette's barrage and take an excellent point as the game closed out, 2 a piece. In the final game of the night and with the rain worsening by the bucket load, Bernie's took advantage of a tiring Forest side by smashing in 5 second half goals to complete a comfortable 6-1 victory. Following these results, Bernie's are now up to fourth with The Foresters to second, just one point behind early leaders, The Oval.
