Bernie's clinch Corporate Clothing title. Heathlands' dreams dashed by double defeat.
St Bernadette's secured the Corporate Clothing divisional title on Monday evening at Hobmoor following successive 3-0 victories over Heathlands and Audley. Bernie's 8-game unbeaten campaign ended with The Stripes leap-frogging Lea Forest to take top spot and, simultaneously, eliminating both Heathlands, and reigning champions Timberley, from the play-offs.
Heathlands hopes of a play-off berth were scuppered earlier in the evening when Audley won an end-to-end game, 5-3 and the final nail for the Heathway side coming with that 3-0 reverse to St. Bernadette's.
So the play-offs semi-finals are now confirmed: St Bernadette's will play Rosary while Baxi champs Lyndon Green take on Lea Forest.
